I love this painting. The cool violets and blues feel almost luminous, and the repetition of the berries pushes it right to the edge of abstraction while still being clearly recognizable. It has a much quieter, moodier feeling than the cherries.

Painted close-up and cropped tightly, the berries become less about the fruit itself and more about color, atmosphere, and rhythm. Layers of cool tones shift between realism and abstraction, creating a sense of depth and movement across the surface.
